Dr. Ashleigh Briody, DDS, MS

Dr. Ashleigh Briody is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She earned her DDS from LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans and completed her residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology at The Ohio State University where she earned a certificate and master’s degree. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Dr. Briody currently practices oral pathology in a private practice, Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians, in Westerville, Ohio. The scope of her practice includes seeing patients clinically, diagnosing and managing oral disease, performing biopsies, CO2 laser ablation, and reading the tissue microscopically. Their practice accepts specimens from outside contributors including dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, ENTs, dermatologists, and others. When not in clinic, she enjoys lecturing about oral pathology all over the United States and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Amol Nirgudkar

Amol Nirgudkar helps dental practices grow and reach their revenue and profit goals. As a certified public accountant, business consultant, author, and inventor, he has 20 years of experience working with dental practices and groups. He is the co-founder of Patient Prism, an award-winning call and lead tracking software that leverages the power of artificial intelligence to improve marketing performance, sales delivery, and operational efficiencies within dental support organizations.

Patient Prism employs advanced artificial intelligence to optimize dental marketing strategies, ensuring the acquisition of the most valuable patients. This technology not only facilitates patient conversion into scheduled appointments but also promptly identifies and addresses any operational challenges, guaranteeing the successful completion of patient treatments.

Amol has five patents to his credit. He is also one of the most well-known and highly followed thought leaders in dentistry and shares his knowledge abundantly via social media platforms.

On a personal note, Amol has traveled around the country and the world accompanying his piano prodigy daughter for concerts and competitions. Last year, in the midst of war, Amol and his daughter Ovie took a humanitarian trip to Ukraine and helped refugees that were affected by the war.

Dr. Brian Nový, DDS

Dr. Nový is the Chief Dental Officer of the Alliance Dental Center, Massachusetts Public Employees Fund with faculty appointments at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Western University. His awards include the Academy of General Dentistry Weclew Award, The ADA Evidence Based Practice Award, The AADR/IADR Gies Award, and the ADA Adult Preventive Care Practice of the Year. He served on the ADA Council of Scientific Affairs from 2010 to 2014, and as President of the CAMBRA coalition. In 2016 he was appointed the Consumer Advocate, United States Food and Drug Administration Dental Products Panel.

Dr. Jose-Luis Ruiz, DDS

Dr. Ruiz is the Founder of the “Supra-gingival Minimally Invasive Dentistry” movement, as well as the Los Angeles Institute of Clinical Dentistry. Former Course Director of the “University of Southern California’s Esthetic Dentistry Continuum”, Associate Instructor at Dr. Gordon Christensen PCC in Utah, & independent evaluator for CR. Author of “Supra-gingival Minimally Invasive Dentistry…” with Dr. Ray Bertolotti, published by Wiley, as well as author of many research and clinical articles. He has been named as one of the “Top Clinicians in CE from 2006-Present” by Dentistry Today. In private practice in the Studio District of Los Angeles.

Dr. Sarat Thikkurissy, DDS, MS

Dr. S.Thikkurissy is Professor and The Robert Creedon Endowed Chair of Dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Thikkurissy obtained his D.D.S. from New York University. He completed the program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD-1) at Wright Patterson and was active duty in the U.S. Air Force for eight years: including serving as chief of pediatric dentistry at Ramstein AFB in Germany. Thikkurissy obtained his certificate in pediatric dentistry/master’s degree from The Ohio State University. Thikkurissy is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is chair of the AAPD Committee on Sedation and Anesthesia, and AAPD representative on the ADA Committee on Dental Education and Licensure group on Sedation. Additionally, he has served on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Examination committee. In 2017 he was named the AAPD Pediatric Dentist of the Year award, and in 2019 was named the Aubrey Rose Foundation ‘Above and Beyond Doctor’ for his work with special needs populations. He has lectured nationally and internationally, and has published in the areas of; morbidities, quality of life and pain management in children.

Dr. Marko Vujicic, Ph.D.

Marko Vujicic currently serves as Chief Economist and Vice President of the Health Policy Institute at the American Dental Association. Previously, he was Senior Economist with The World Bank in Washington D.C. where he focused on health systems reform in developing countries and directed the global health workforce policy program. He was also a Health Economist with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. In all of these roles, Dr. Vujicic led large-scale strategic initiatives focused on bringing cutting edge data and research to specific health policy challenges.

Dr. Vujicic has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals such as Health Affairs, The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Health Services Research, Health Economics, Social Science and Medicine, and Medical Care. He is also the lead author of the book, Working in Health, which examines health workforce challenges globally and has written several book chapters on health care policy issues. His team’s work has been cited by CNN, The New York Times, NBC News, CNBC, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, PBS NOVA, and The Atlantic. He has been invited to provide testimony to federal and state legislative committees.

Dr. Vujicic holds several academic appointments. He is adjunct senior fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, University of Pennsylvania and affiliate faculty at the Center for Health and the Social Sciences, University of Chicago as well as the Center for Health Services and Policy Research at the University of British Columbia. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto and a visiting assistant professor at Tufts University.

Dr. Vujicic obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree in Business from McGill University in Montreal.
